Wedding Venue
Under the glorious Sussex sky, brides make their way to the top of the Keep, replacing the traditional walk down the aisle with that of the zigzag steps. Ceremonies are held in the stunning setting of the Pleasure Garden where the bride and groom are married under the arch of the medieval West Tower. An audience of up to fifty guests may share in your ceremony from under the shade of the lime tree. From the high towers of Lewes Castle guests can see far and wide into the distant country side. From the twisting streets of the original medieval town across to the rolling South Downs the views are truly spectacular and provide an unbeatable backdrop for photographs.

After the ceremony the party may descend to the Gun Garden where many couples choose to arrange for their own food and drink to be served by our in-house staff or outside caterers. Here too, you can be joined by up to a hundred friends and relatives.

Charges for 2008
Our charges for 2008 are £940 for the ceremony and £64.63 per hour thereafter. Both prices include VAT. This does not include the Registrar's fee. We can also provide a marquee for the ceremony at £117.50.
